Youth Group

Our church takes very seriously the importance of having a
thriving youth program. It is designed to be both fun and
informative. It is true the youth are the future of the church
and by helping them at this very formative time in their lives
we are not only doing them a great service but also ourselves.
Our youth group is open to anyone who is in grades 6 thru12.

Currently, there are two times when the youth meet at church.
Every Sunday morning they meet in the basement from 10:00 AM to
11:00 AM. This is designed as a time when students may
experience spirituality in a hands on way. On Sunday evenings,
from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the youth meet again to look in depth
at a particular spiritual subject. This is a time for
fellowship and games, music and worship, lessons, and small
group discussions.

The youth also participate in a number of other activities
together outside of a "traditional youth group" setting. Some
of these include: retreats, watching movies, going on scavenger
hunts, volunteering in the community, doing random acts of
kindness, and many other fun activities. We look forward to
being active members of our community well into the future. |

Summer Camps and Retreats
|
| The United Methodist Church supports camping and retreat
ministries for children of all ages. The goal of these
ministries is to offer ways to gain a greater awareness of God's
love, to develop an appreciation of sanctuary in God's creation,
to experience renewal and regeneration, to make new friendships
and experience a deepened faith. Please visit
http://gocamping.org/ for more information. |

Boy Scouting
|
 |
Troop 7 has
been chartered by the Men of the Medford First United Methodist
Church since its formation in 1928 and the Church at 607 West
Main in Medford has been our only home. We have served the
needs of boys from within the Church Family and from the
community as a whole for nearly 80 years. In that time, we have
seen over 60 young men receive the Rank of Eagle Scout . . . the
highest achievement in Scouting. Visit
http://www.troop7medford.org/ for more information. |
